A small group of women began the Oregon Chapter of Blue Star Mothers in fall of 2008. With many of the original members still actively involved, we continue to grow.
Blue Star Mothers support the military, their families, our veterans, and support and defend the Constitution of this great land, the United States of America. We are a nonprofit organization with all volunteer members. Please join us in support of these great causes.
We are thrilled to once again RUN FOR THE FALLEN - remembering those who have served, are serving, and those who have fallen in battle for our great country. We also keep in mind those who worry at home while their loved ones are doing their duty. No one is in this alone and you may choose to run in honor of someone!
SAVE THE DATE - SATURDAY, AUGUST 20, 2011 - 8am-12pm
It is a great weekend in the Portland area to honor our troops. Starting at the Cleveland High School Track will be an easy 5k run or walk around the track and through the SE Portland neghborhood. Feel the energy of the great crowd and share in the spirit and comraderie of the fellow participants. We will have music, a raffle, and thoughts from some very important guests. Last year was great, let's make this year even better!!
